The Black Crescent

The Black Crescent is a gripping novel set in 1950s Morocco, blending murder, magic, and divided loyalties. The story follows Hamou Badi, born in a mountain village with magical zouhry signs on his hands. The zouhry is a legendary figure, part man, part djinn, known for his ability to find all kinds of treasures. However, instead of discovering a treasure, Hamou stumbles upon a body. Haunted by the unsolved murder, he pursues police training in Casablanca. The city, caught in a nationalist uprising, forces Hamou to choose between his heritage and his professional duties.
